Intraspeed  Sarl  is  one of the major and influential Freight Forwarders and procurement company  in the Great Lakes Region being deeply  involved in Freight movements and procurement to many parts of the World with considerable emphasis  on our transportation and procurement services to Uganda , Kenya,  Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania DRC and South Africa  with a turnover in 2003 in excess of US$ 12.7 million.

We are professional trading members of the Comesa Freight Forwarders Association having joined in 1999 when the Association was incorporated. Members requires us to introduce accurate and prompt audited accounts each year, to comply with a strict code of conduct as laid down by the association and to have in place an extensive liability insurance cover for the protection of our clients.  A number of our Directors are also individual members, a status that we feel is necessary in our profession.  All business is conducted under the terms and conditions of the association.
We also enjoy membership of the ADR, UCIFA, UFFA, KFFWA  AND FIATA which  again was subscribed to in 1997and  1998 respectively. 

Our client base is selective and we enjoy considerable support from such Organizations We also attract considerable tonnage from our friends within the Forwarding trade that underlines our integrity and policy of complete confidentiality.  Large tonnage is moved in the coffee, tea, lubs, carpets and chemical trades as well as the undertaking of exceptional shipments of out of gauge products and roll on/roll off cargoes.

With  the amount of freight that Companies and trades such as these generate through ourselves, we are able to negotiate with all major Shipping Lines from a position of strength and obtain on behalf of our clients extremely competitive rates on the most reliable services for both import and export movements.

On the documentation side, we pride ourselves on our accuracy and knowledge in so much that we  have recently been recommended to potential customers by several of the major banking organizations.  We issue several bills of lading  and can offer any  type of documentation service from the simple completion of Bills of Lading and  movement documents, through the "legalization Jungle' of certification as required by Letters of Credit and to comply stringently with the requirements of the International Banking system and Customs authorities world-wide.

Indeed for several customers we even hold their authority to complete and sign invoices, Bills of Sight  etc.  On their behalf and to submit complete files of documents direct to their Bankers-the ultimate service.
We undertake our own haulage on approximately 75% of our FCL traffic which gives us a much closer control in respect of positioning and collection times and maximizes vehicle utilization.  A control that was sometimes lacking when haulage  was left to the shipping Lines with the result that clients were not always being given the service they have come to expect from our company.

We work closely with a network of agents throughout the Middle East, Far East and Australasia  and an expansion to our operation Intraspeed Ltd recently opened  in S/Africa.  We have Depots in Durban, East London ,C/Town , Port Elizabeth and from there a network of Services to cover collections throughout the South Africa.

We have recently acquired the prestigious agency of American Express Line which enables us to quote for both bulk and container barge traffic throughout the U.S.A and to all European  destinations including the former eastern Bloc.  We would be pleased to discuss any projects that you feel may lend  yourselves to this mode of transport.

Our import expertise is one of great depth and goes back to the traditional shipping by conventional means through the Ports of Mombasa, Dar and the like.  Since then a wealth experience has been gained with the introduction of containerisation and unit loads private wharves, Inland Clearance Depots to the current day of DTI and 'on line' connection with Customs & Excise at Kampala, Kigali  Mombasa Dar es Salaam and other centers being introduced as the requirements of our Clients demand. All of our activities are controlled by a sophisticated 25 screen multi-user computer system  and  incorporates  facsimile,  telex  on - line  modem  facilities.
